Family Days Out in the Cotswolds

The Model Village, Bourton-on-the-Water
The Model Village is a wonderful miniature copy of the actual village of Bourton-on-the-Water. It was built of Cotswold stone in 1937 and it is the only grade II listed model village in the country. The attention to detail is incredible, with the river Windrush flowing under the famous bridges, music playing in the tiny model church, and miniature beech, cherry and chestnut trees lining the lanes.
Cotswold Water Park, Cirencester
The Cotswold Water Park is an area of over 40 square miles and 180 lakes, with many different leisure providers, and a variety of activities to take part in (including angling, archery, horse riding and golf). This stunning wetlands landscape hosts tens of thousands of breeding and watering birds and is an ideal destination for watching wildlife all year round.

Cotswold Riding, Stanton
In the picturesque village of Stanton, just a few miles from Broadway, lies a riding school that has been offering riding lessons and adventures since 1975. The riding school offers lessons and hacks for all levels of riders with over 100 well-schooled horses, in the most beautiful setting. There are also ponies for children and equipment can be provided.
Cotswold Falconry Centre, Batsford
The Cotswold Falconry Centre is home to over 60 different species of Birds of Prey and offers incredible showings of these birds of prey at work. It’s interesting for all ages and only a short walk from Batsford Arboretum.
Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens, Burford
